We all have seen a lot of tutorials about making boxes into wall shelves. One is right here.
But no one tells how to hang them.
Here’s the answer to this big question! 🙂
Things you’ll need:
Step # 1
Draw two rectangles of same length and width on a cardboard.
Step # 2
Cut the rectangles.
Step # 3
You should choose a glue that is the strongest. I chose white glue or German glue and it worked perfectly.
Choosing the right glue is very important because the pieces of cardboard that you’ve cut are going to be holding the weight of things you’ll be placing on the wall shelves.
Glue the cardboard in a way that you have a hole through which the thread will be passing.
Step # 4
After making a hole by gluing the cardboard and keeping it under weight for a while; glue the cardboard to the back side of the box with holes facing towards the center.
Glue them not in the middle of the box instead a little towards the top.
Step # 5
Place weight and leave the boxes for 24 hours so the glue can do its magic and the wall shelves can be durable.
Let’s go to sleep and see to it the next day;
Step # 6
The next day; choose a strong, fat thread and make it go through the cardboard holes at least two times.
Step # 7
Loosen the top threads and temporarily tape them to the box as this will make it easier to keep them loose as well as tie the threads strongly.
When you’ve tied the ends of the thread securely; remove the tape.
Now hang your box on the wall and enjoy new wall shelves. 😀
Hope this helped. Don’t forget to share. 🙂
Peace. Meet you all in my next post. 🙂
